Teaching
VARAXIS SCHOLAR
One system for
educational institutions
Scholar runs courses, attendance, marking and grades for schools, colleges and universities. Students also get a planner that works out what to do each day from the work they’ve been set.

StudentmoreTHE IDEA
Staff and students on the same system.
Most platforms either run the institution or help students with their own work. Scholar does both, so it knows the timetable and the deadlines, and also how long each student usually takes to finish a piece of work.
CAPTURE
Add homework the way you’d say it.
Type it, or hold the mic and talk. Scholar picks out the subject, turns “next Friday” into a date, estimates how long it’ll take and tidies up the wording. Nothing is saved until you’ve checked it.
ADMINISTRATION
The admin side, done properly.
Terms, courses, classes and enrolment. Registers start with everyone marked present, and any change made afterwards is logged. Gradebooks with weighted categories, plus rubrics, quizzes and extensions. Announcements reach the people they’re meant for.
DEADLINES
It notices when four deadlines land on one Friday.
Teachers in different departments set work without seeing each other’s deadlines. Scholar sees all of them, so when several pieces pile up on the same day, the student and their teachers find out early enough to do something about it.
YOUR DATA
Ready for audits and data requests.
You can export everything held about a person, or erase it, without breaking the audit log. Guardians see work set, work handed in, released marks and attendance, and nothing about when or how long their child studied. AI can suggest a mark, but only a teacher can record it.
AND THE REST
EVERYDAY WORK
WHO IT’S FOR
Everyone gets their own view.
Students
- Add homework by typing it or saying it.
- One list across all your courses, with the most urgent work first.
- Time estimates based on how long your past work actually took.
- Ask for an extension and show exactly how much time you have.
Teachers
- A marking queue with the oldest submissions at the top.
- Registers that start with everyone present and keep a log of changes.
- Rubrics, quizzes, differentiated tasks, resits and extensions.
- AI that can suggest a mark but never record one.
Administrators
- Terms, courses, classes, enrolment and invitations.
- Each week’s workload across departments, including clashes no single teacher would spot.
- An audit log of who changed what, and when.
- Tools for data access and deletion requests.
Guardians
- What work was set, and what was handed in.
- Marks the institution has released.
- Attendance.
- That’s it. They can’t see when their child studied, for how long, or anything about their study habits.
WHERE THE DATA GOES
Pick your AI provider
Gemini, Groq, OpenAI, Anthropic or OpenRouter. Your data only goes to the one you choose.
Or don’t use AI at all
Without an AI key, Scholar can still pick out the subject and due date from what you type, offline.
Voice stays on your device
Speech is turned into text in your browser. The recording is never uploaded.
Start with one class.
Create a class, add your students and set one piece of work. The gradebook, guardian access and audit log are already there for when you need them.
