Refund Policy
Last updated 3 October 2026
Scholar is free
Scholar doesn’t charge you anything and never takes payment details, so there is nothing to refund. There are no trials that turn into subscriptions and no hidden fees.
If anyone asks you to pay for Scholar in our name, it isn’t us — please tell us.
AI provider charges
If you connect your own account with an AI provider, that provider may bill you for usage under its own terms. Those charges are between you and the provider; Scholar does not receive them and can’t refund them. You can disconnect a provider at any time in Settings → AI.
Institutions
If your institution has its own agreement with Varaxis, payments and refunds under it follow that agreement.
If this changes
If we introduce paid plans, this page will set out the refund terms before anyone is charged, and you will see the full price before you agree to pay. Any rights you have under consumer law where you live apply regardless. See also the Terms of Service.
